Has anyone seen this building ? This building nick named the ‘Seven Story’ is Grade 2 listed It is deemed ‘at risk’. The Seven Story forms just a small part of Chance Brothers Glass Works. Year 7’s at Holly Lodge School were asked: would you 1. Renovate it? 2. Tear it down? Explain your reasons; what would you like to see there?

What is this building? In 1956 Chance re-glazed the clock faces of the Palace of Westminster Clock Tower that houses the Big Ben Bell. This was to correct the mismatch of coloured glass caused by poor repairs to damage caused during WW 2. The original ‘Pot opal’ glass was supplied by a German manufacturer before WWII and was damaged by German Luftwaffe bombs. The Palace of Westminster is Commonly known as The Houses of Parliament.
