Drowning • Make sure you don’t put yourself in danger rescuing someone • Call for help first • Give them a floatation device if there is one available • Take them out of the water if its safe to do so IF THEY ARENT BREATHING, YOU NEED TO PERFORM CPR • The usual is 30 compressions then 2 breaths but in this case…. • You do 5 ‘rescue breaths’ first before starting the cycle above. • Then SAP !
