Create and live by a personal/family mission statement Benefits of a Personal/Family Mission Statement: -Clarifies what is important to you -Provides focus -Guides your day-to-day decisions -Helps you design your life instead of having it designed for you -Gives you a greater sense of meaning and purpose Family Activity: Materials needed: magazines, paper, markers, glue, crayons Make a collage of pictures, words, sayings with your whole family considering these ideas: -What is the puspose of our family? -What are our priorities? Responsibilities? -What feeling do we want in our home? -How can we contribute to society? -What kind of things do we want to do? Find a place in your home to hang it and revisit it often! 24
