Pronomes são palavras que servem para substituir um substantivo na frase. Em inglês, como em português, existem vários tipos de pronomes e cada um deles tem a sua função dentro da frase. De uma maneira bem simples, vamos dizer que o pronome é uma pequena palavra que substitui o substantivo. Ajudando, assim o texto não ficar muito repetitivo e chato para se ler. Na aula de hoje vamos destacar os personal pronouns e suas funções

Os pronomes pessoais em inglês são os mais conhecidos, já que são os mais usados nas frases e perguntas. Eles indicam quem está falando e a quem se refere a frase ou a pergunta. Os pronomes pessoais indicam pessoas, animais, lugares e objetos. E são 2 as suas funções: 1. Subject pronouns: funcionam como sujeitos da frase She is beautiful. ( Ela é linda. ) 2. Object Pronouns: funcionam como objetos na frase Juan wants to meet her. (Juan quer conhecê-la. )

Exemplos de frases com subject pronouns: They bought Mary a new bike. (Eles compraram uma bicicleta nova para a Mary. ) We are studying for the exam. (Nós estamos estudando para a prova. ) She is calling Derek. (Ela está telefonando para o Derek. ) Percebeu que, nas frases acima, o subject pronoun é quem pratica a ação?
