The Purpose of This Policy The purpose of this policy is to protect the safety of our guests, visitors and team members during lightning storms. B. Actions during Lightning Storms by All Team Members During severe lightning storms, go indoors and report to your supervisor. If you work with a computer, turn off the computer and unplug it. Actions before and during Lightning Storms by the Manager-on-duty If you hear of or see a lightning storm developing, take the following actions: 1. Close the swimming pool and other outdoor activities. Ask guests on the pool deck to return to their rooms until the storm is over. 2. Direct all team members to move indoors and stay indoors until you notify them that it is safe to go outside. 3. Check to be certain all computers are turned off and unplugged.
