Alcohol January 25, 2022 • Ethyl alcohol is most heavily abused in the United States. • Ethanol alcohol is the principal type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages, produced by the fermentation of sugars by yeasts. • It is a psychoactive drug and one of the oldest recreational drugs used by Unit 6: Toxicology 2: 13 PM humans.
