Arrival Please do not send your students or drop them off prior to 8: 40 am each morning. We will not have staff on duty to monitor or supervise students. Students will immediately line-up at their teacher’s back door. Signs with Teacher Names have been placed on each door so students can find their appropriate classroom door. Students will be allowed into their classrooms at 8: 45 am each morning and will be served breakfast in their designated classrooms. ● Breakfast will be served in students’ classrooms due to the limited capacity in our cafeteria. Please notify our Nursing staff if your child has any food allergies. ***At 9: 00 am or after, students will need to be dropped off at the office. They will then be taken to the cafeteria for breakfast and then escorted to class.
Dismissal We have a new system for dismissal each day. We are planning a staggered release of students to maintain distancing and reduce the number of students being released at any given time. ● ● ● Families will be provided a sign that you will place on your dash in the corner of your car’s front window, with your child/children’s names, grade level and teacher’s name. We ask that you stay in your vehicles at all times. As you enter the pickup line, a staff member will read the sign, radio the teacher who will be with their class lined up. The classroom teacher will send the student to the pickup point. 3: 54 pm – Ball/Hagerman/Wright – Parent Walkers & Walkers Only will be released Once Parent Walkers and Walkers have been released, Teachers walk remaining students to pickup loop. Students needing to pick-up younger siblings meet at the pick-up loop. Keeping students in cohorts, each teacher will walk their class down to the pick-up loop. Parking Lot Use: Our parking lot will have limited accessibility during arrival and dismissal. We encourage all parents to drop-off and pick-up students using our pick-up loop. Only those parents/guardians who have scheduled appointments will be allowed to park in the parking lot. Please schedule all appointments by calling 254 -4900.
Mask Requirements: ● Masks/Face Coverings: must be worn in the building. This includes all students k-5 and adults. We will provide all students masks if they do not have one entering the building. ● Per D 51 Guidelines, students will be expected to wear a mask upon entering/exiting the building and/or when social distancing guidelines and expectations cannot be adhered to.
Materials: Backpacks, Supplies & Materials: We know many of our supply lists included backpacks, but we are discouraging the use of backpacks this year due to our COVID expectations and procedures. Please do not send students to school with backpacks. Our teachers have worked to implement systems and processes that will allow students to have their own supplies and materials without utilizing backpacks. There will be limited sharing of items and when this does occur, staff have processes in place for disinfecting these items. Students will need a water bottle this year because we are not able to let them drink from the drinking fountains (only refill bottles). We will have some, with our school name on them, available soon for them to purchase (if you would like).
Academics: ● Reading and Writing- Lucy Caulkins Units of Study ● Math- Bridges ● Science- Know. Atom
