What is 4 -S Reciprocal Teaching • A strategy where a dialogue process is taking place between the teacher, student, and the text. • It provides an opportunity to predict, question, clarify, and summarizes (Robb, 43). • This strategy improves comprehension and can be used for any informational subject areas, such as science, history, or language arts. • It can be used for all age levels. However, the words should be adapted for younger learners, and possibly done orally.

Determine the main ideas of those paragraphs. 2 -Ask the class what information do they feel will be covered in the remaining paragraphs. 3 - As the students respond aloud record their predictions in the square marked “predicting. ” 4 -Create groups where each student has their own paragraph within each group.
