How Immune Cells Interact Cell to Cell contact Antigen-presenting cells (APC) Helper T-Cells Killer T- Cells
Immune System Recognizes and tries to destroy invading Pathogens Communicate by binding to receptors on other cells
Antigens, Helper T-Cells and Killer T-Cells Antigens- substances, usually proteins, that are found on the surface of the cells, viruses, fungi or even bacteria Helper T-Cells- Arguable the most important in adaptive immune respones. They not only activate B-Cells to secrete antibodies and macrophages to destroy ingested microbes, but they also activate cytotoic T-cells to kill infected target cells. A cytotoxic T cell (also known as TC, cytotoxic T lymphocyte, CTL, Tkiller cell, cytolytic T cell, CD 8+ T-cell or killer T cell) is a T lymphocyte (a type of white blood cell) that kills cancer cells, cells that are infected (particularly with viruses ), or cells that are damaged in other ways.
Plasmodesmata & Cell Communication – IST. 3. A. 1 By: Ryan Paillet & Jaewon Kim November 20, 2019 Period 2
Juxatine Signaling
How Its Done
Plasmodesmata are small channels that directly connect the cytoplasm of neighboring plant cells to each other, establishing living bridges between cells.
