30+ CATEGORIES OF ASSISTANCE FINANCIAL READINESS SOLDIER READINESS COMBAT READINESS BASIC LIVING EXPENSES NATURAL DISASTERS & EMERGENCIES • • • Rent, initial deposit, mortgage Temporary lodging due to homelessness Utilities Food PERSONAL TRANSPORTATION • Maintenance, repair, replace (up to $4 k) • Monthly payments • Insurance, deductible • Rental vehicle (due to repair or emergency) • Fuel MEDICAL • Dental care for dependents (50% grant, 50% loan) • Care not covered by TRICARE • Cranial helmets (100% grant) • Non-medical attendant travel • Invitational travel order (Soldier hospitalized) • Special needs medical equipment (grant up to $4 k) Emergency travel (50% grant, 50% loan, adjustable) Natural disaster (stabilization-in-place, evacuation, recovery) Minor home repair, deductible (up to $5 k) Clothing Funeral expenses (non-eligible relative, up to $5 k) Active-duty Spouse funeral ($15 k bridge loan) Safe travel after domestic violence PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION • PCS travel • Initial purchase of basic home furnishings (up to $4 k) • Appliance repair, replace • Immigration, VISA, passport fees (100% grant when establishing family unity) OTHER • Welcome home travel • Child car seats • Spouse relicensing/recertification after PCS (up to $2. 5 K) • Childcare after PCS to high cost of living area ($500 per family, per month, enrollment in Army Fee Assistance Program required) • Homeschool & remote education for K-12 & undergrad (up to $1. 5 K) Have a request not listed here?
