How to Chase Fly Balls? • Chase parallel to the flight of the ball • Be stopped and set 90 degrees to the catch • If fielder makes a diving catch move directly at the fielder to insure possession of the ball • Be stopped signal Catch or No Catch while facing the play • Clear the throwing lanes to allow for a relay throw • Turn and face the infield, remain out of the play until it concludes, watch all action, never know what crucial piece of information you may be able to offer your partners if you have to meet.
