Betrayal But Satan had taken possession of Judah… who was of the number of the twelve Lk 22: 3, Lamsa Betrayal by whom? Not just one man! Our Trial Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Jam 1: 2 -3 Seems highly inappropriate… offensive? Suggestion: An element of Biblical “joy” ≈ “task from God” Related to “happiness” achievable in the desire to do God’s Will 14 / 23

Joy as a “Task” - Evidence “The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. Innocence: The Declaration of Guilt “These in white robes–who are they, and where did they come from? …These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead.
