EXECUTIVE SUMMARY • The third quarter for Atinka Media Village (AMV) proved to be productive and successful as it was climaxed by the Grand Finale of our flagship show, Di Asa Season 3, which was held at the Fantasy Dome, Accra International Trade Fair Center on September 28, 2019 after the media year retreat. Total revenue generated from Di Asa amounted to GH¢ 1, 800, 833. 09.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Midyear retreat: • AMV embarked on a midyear retreat at the Mount Pleasant Inn and Apartments at Ahwrease from August 12 th 2019 to 14 th to assess its achievements, challenges and ways to improve on existing successes chalked over the first half of the year. • About 30 participants drawn from management and all departments including programme producers, news team; anchors, sales and marketing, finance, audit, operations, technical, sports, took part in the retreat.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY • At the end of the retreat, a 10 point resolutions aside recommendations were made together with timelines to guide the AMV in its quest to thrive and be the most successful media house in Ghana and beyond: • The retreat adopted a Human Resource Policy together with the condition of service. • It also agreed on a draft organizational structure and reporting lines (organogram). This will be fine-tuned and the revised document to be made available to the Group chairman, the Board and the Group Management Team. .

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY • Brief on Di Asa Season 3 Final: • Many pre-event promotions were made on TV/ Radio/ online and social media to hype the event. • Finalists: Twenty five (25) queens qualified and were pitched for the Grand Final show at the Fantasy Dome. • Revenue Generated from Di Asa amounted to GH¢ 1, 776, 693. 09 • 21 companies sponsored the event in various forms.

Monica Okyere - Banasco contested fiercely for the winner to be declared.

It was a delight to watch. • Audience; In attendance were ministers of state, Traditional Rulers, Directors of Corporate Institutions, People from all walks of life including the informal sector , diaspora etc. the Dome was filled to capacity

Dignified artists including the famous Akosua Agyapong, Joyce Blessing, Patapaa, Sister Afia, Article Wan and others performed to the admiration to the enthusiastic crowd. Our Judges were in full gear and on point. They included Fredeema - Guest Judge, Akosua Agyapong – Guest Judge, Terry and Dr. Narh Hagoe both of the University Of Ghana School Of Performing Arts, and also lady Deon a regular judge on the show.

Our carpet production was received people queuing to have their turn. We had no transmission hazards on TV. Off Air presentation was par excellence. However, transmissions hours went beyond expectation. • On operations, AMV is working hard to switch to solar energy to cut cost of electricity supply. Facebook live is now full operational

Programs (News) • All news programmes running efficiently. PROGRESSIVE STORIES: • The news department premiered a captivating documentary titled: “Defiled and Traumatized”. It focused on how a little girl was paralyzed after being raped on her way to school by an auto mechanic. This documentary has been submitted to the Ghana Journalists Association for a potential award ahead of the 70 th GJA Awards.

It focuses on military drills at Achease in the Eastern Region. • Atinka News uncovered a 240 -acre ‘weed’ farm at Klokope in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region. Our comprehensive coverage led the police to apprehend suspects and later destroyed the weed farm. This story really gave us mileage on social media: (Atinka 104. 7 FM Facebook page had 1000 comments, over two thousand shares and over 265, 735 views.
