3 GPP TSG RAN WG 190 bis Prague
3 GPP TSG RAN WG 1#90 bis Prague, Czech Republic, October 9 – 13, 2017 Agenda item 7. 3. 5 R 1 -171 xxxx Rate-matching in NR Nokia, Nokia Shanghai Bell [Huawei, QC, LGE]
From chairman notes Conclusion: Discuss further offline to come up with framework on how rate matching/puncturing should be done at least for NR-PDSCH & NR-PUSCH especially in terms of signalling details (granularity in timedomain and frequency-domain), considering different important use cases (LTE/NR coexistence, RS/channels/CORESETs defined in NR, etc. ). o The applicable use cases can be clarified with notes, but not necessarily part of the proposed signalling details
NR-PDSCH rate-matching on RE level Offline proposal: • NR-PDSCH can be rate-matched at least around the following resources: • LTE CRS • NR CSI-RS of other UEs • Aperiodic CSI-RS of other UEs can be associated with L 1 signalling
NR-PDSCH rate-matching on RB level Offline Proposal: • UE can be configured with one or multiple DL resource set(s), each resource set configured by the first bitmap of RB granularity and a second bitmap of OFDM symbols in the slot(s) for which the first bitmap applies. • NR-PDSCH DMRS are punctured to the resource set(s) • These resource set(s) can be identified as resource sets(s) for which the PDSCH may or may not be mapped based on the L 1 signalling. • FFS whether this resource is present in every slot or not • Note: covers future/backward compatible resource, parts of CORESETs, multiple CORESETs • CORESET(s) configured to a UE for monitoring can be included as resource set(s) • These resource set(s) can be identified as resource sets(s) for which the PDSCH may or may not be mapped based on the L 1 signalling.
An example of 3 configured ratematching resources Offline Proposal: When multiple configured rate-matching resources overlap in time, UE rate-matches around the union
NR-PUSCH rate-matching on RB level Offline proposal: • NR-PUSCH can be rate-matched around the following resources: • Option 1: last symbol in the slot • FFS whether this resource is present in every slot or not • Option 2: continuous set of RBs in the last symbol of the slot • FFS whether this resource is present in every slot or not • Note: For the purpose of NR and LTE SRS
Association to signalling Proposed conclusion: Design independent L 1 signaling mechanism to identify • RB level for PUSCH • RE-level for PDSCH • RB-level for PDSCH • FFS: joint coding is not precluded
