Background • The following was agreed in RAN 1#88: – At least the following configuration parameters are signaled via RRC at least for CSI acquisition: • N, M, and L – indicated either implicitly or explicitly • In each CSI reporting setting, at least: reported CSI parameter(s), CSI Type (I or II) if reported, codebook configuration including codebook subset restriction, time-domain behavior, frequency granularity for CQI and PMI, measurement restriction configurations – At least some combination(s) of the CSI parameters (e. g. , CRI, PMI, CQI, etc. ) can be configured to be omitted from reporting within a CSI reporting setting • FFS details
Proposal 1 • Measurement restriction configuration corresponding to a Resource Setting linked to a CSI Reporting Setting should be included in either – Link in the Measurement Setting OR – Resource Setting in the Measurement Setting – FFS: Further down selection • At least the following additional information should be supported in one Resource Setting: – Resource power for channel measurement resource • Zero power is NOT allowed to be indicated. – Resource power for interference measurement resource • Zero power is allowed to be indicated. – FFS: Details, e. g. , signaling design, units (e. g. , RS EPRE) • CSI reporting setting: – CQI, PMI, and RI are supported for Type II CSI
Proposal 2 • At least the following combinations of reported CSI parameters are supported in a CSI Reporting Setting: – – – RI, PMI, CQI CRI, PMI, CQI [Full reciprocity] RI, CQI [Semi-open-loop] RI, partial PMI (e. g. i 1), CQI [Hybrid mechanism 1] RI, partial PMI (e. g. i 1) [Hybrid mechanism 2] CRI • Note: In the above combinations, RI may not reported depending on the maximum number of layers the UE is configured with or capable of receiving
