3 D Design Unleash your creativity! If you enjoy being creative then choose 3 D Design. The course explores creative design processes and a range of different construction techniques in a variety of materials.
You will get the opportunity to work with lots of different materials such as: Wood Clay Metal Plaster Plastic Wire Card You will exploring and study new creative skills and techniques such as: Designing Model making Wood work CAD (computer aided design) Ceramics Plaster casting Mould making

3 D Design plays a key role in many jobs nowadays, so taking this course will prepare you for many different creative careers, ranging from: Product designer, Interior designer, Architecture, Pottery designer, Furniture designer, Exhibition design, Set and prop design for TV & film.
How it works: You will take two components for your GCSE’s Component One: Coursework Portfolio will be worth 60% of your overall grade! Component Two: Externally Set Assignment will be worth 40% of your overall grade! You must present a portfolio of preparatory and then you will spend 10 hours of supervised time on a final piece/outcome. This includes a sustained project evidencing the journey from initial engagement to the realisation of intentions and a selection of further work undertaken during the course of study.
