2021 DPAA Inventory Forms: (Handouts 5 a and 5 b) n n n Deadline date – October 2, 2020 Please review your 2020 DPAA material usage before submitting your order for 2021 Make sure to order enough in-pew envelopes for both your Commitment and Follow-up Weekends Please be sure to order enough BLACK and WHITE cards (cardstock) and envelopes if you are planning to conduct a follow-up mailing Any parish follow-up activity should take place AFTER the follow-up letter is mailed in late-May

2021 DPAA Inventory Forms: n n n Reminder: you must order your pencils by the number of pencils needed, not by the number of boxes Please fill out the 2021 Inventory Form that has been included in your packet of handouts (do not send in an order form from the previous year) Delivery of 2021 DPAA materials to parishes will take place the week of February 8, 2021. It is important to check your inventory delivery as soon as it arrives to ensure you received what you ordered

2021 DPAA Kick-off Dinner Invitation List: IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, many donors are making and completing their contributions later than usual. At this time, we are unable to provide you with a list of your parish’s donors that have contributed more than $250 to the 2020 DPAA as we have done in the past. Since we would like to have your invitation lists back in our office by the October 16 deadline, we hope to have an up-to-date list for you by the end of September.

2021 DPAA Video: The 2021 DPAA Video will be shown the weekend of March 13/14, 2021 and will include: n n A photo/video montage of the many agencies and service grant recipients who benefit from the Annual Appeal Bishop will discuss the meaning behind the 2021 Appeal Theme, then thank viewers for their generosity and support

2021 DPAA Parish Team Form: (Handouts 6 a and 6 b) n n Each parish needs to assemble a DPAA Parish Team to share in the Appeal responsibilities Please complete and return the supplied Parish Team Form by October 2, 2020 Parishes must fill-out and submit their finalized 2021 Parish Team form in its entirety Please direct any questions to Stewardship staffer Jennifer Cox at jcox@covdio. org

2021 DPAA Parish Team Orientation: Two orientation sessions will be offered on the evening of Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Bishop Howard Memorial Auditorium: n n 5: 30 p. m. – 6: 30 p. m. 7: 00 p. m. – 8: 00 p. m. Please note: If we have inclement weather, we will reschedule the orientation to Tuesday, January 26, 2021

2021 DPAA Rebate Program: (Handout 7) n How Does the Rebate Program Work? n n Each Parish has a DPAA dollar goal Please note: All Parish goals are mandatory When the total cash collected exceeds the Parish’s goal, the Diocesan Stewardship Office processes monthly rebate checks for the Parish. Rebates begin in July, 2021 and continue through April, 2022.

2021 DPAA Rebate Program: n How Does a Parish Take Advantage of the Rebate Program? n n n Choose a rebate project or program – something specific – choose carefully – something visible, needed, requested by Parishioners, etc. Do not “meld” DPAA rebate monies into the Parish budget to cover ongoing expenses such as utilities - unless it is absolutely necessary Announce and publicize your Rebate Project or Program

2021 DPAA Rebate Program: IMPORTANT REQUEST At times, the Messenger looks for story ideas to encourage people to give to the DPAA and will run articles on various parish rebate projects. To be considered, please email a description of your rebate projects to Jennifer Cox at jcox@covdio. org.

2021 DPAA Handbook: n n n DPAA Handbook will be posted on Diocesan website in January, 2021 One hard copy of the handbook will be supplied to each parish Please review the supplied handout materials (printed in RED) with important Appeal facts and reminders

2021 DPAA In-pew Envelopes: (Handout 8) n n Please order enough WHITE labels if you are planning to do a second mailing Make sure to use the labels that have been provided Parishes need to place the correct label on the in-pew pledge form (Gray label) Gray labels are ONLY for in-pew forms

2021 DPAA In-pew Envelopes: n n Please attach the label to the side of the in-pew pledge form where it is indicated Also be sure to inform your Parish Team members (or any other volunteers) as to where the labels are to be placed on the in-pew pledge cards

2021 DPAA – Lockbox: n n n Use ONLY U. S. Bank Envelopes Please remember – only gift checks should be sent to the lockbox All pledge cards or zero gift cards should be mailed directly to the Diocesan Stewardship Office
