Important Leadership Responsibilities & Goals for 2020 • Ensuring the district achieves a C or higher on the Ohio Report Card • Working with a new CFO & Treasurer • I am now working with my fourth Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer over the last eight years • Partnering to ensure smooth transition & onboarding of new CFO • Implementation of the District’s Facilities Plan for opening two new buildings in August 2020 • Ensuring the successful transition of all faculty and staff for the largest transition in the history of the district between January & August 2020 • While the new buildings have the attention of the community, the detailed work associated with both logistics, communication, staff, and leadership adjustment and preparation are key elements to the success of this transition
Important Leadership Responsibilities & Goals for 2020 • Ensure the successful transitions of the following: • • Mills Elementary transitions to a temporary Pre. K-K building Venice Heights transitions to an Adult Education Program Sandusky Digital Academy transitions to a new space at the Jackson Building The Regional Center transitions to the new space at the Adams Building (with a potential additional program of a gifted Arts-based Academy) • Osborne Elementary transitions into a partnership with the City of Sandusky for a viable option for a historical building • Develop & create a viable plan for our STEAM initiative including expanding the priorities of the Sidney Frohman Planetarium • Ensuring an academic vision for the Sandusky Rotary Global Education Center
Important Leadership Responsibilities & Goals for 2020 • Negotiation of a new contract for the Sandusky Education Association • Development of a strategic plan to assist with fundraising and organizational alignment to build new natatorium at SHS • Implementation and communication with internal and external constituents of the 2030 Initiative • Assist with the onboarding of a newly elected Board Member
Important Leadership Responsibilities & Goals for 2020 • Addressing succession planning for CEO & Superintendent position in 2022 • Expanding the district’s role in legislative policy decision making

What is going on? • Staffing letters were sent to Pre. K-6 Staff • The schools were given a name • Sandusky Early Learning Center (Pre. K-K) • Sandusky Primary School (Grades 1 & 2 ) • Sandusky Intermediate School (Grades 3 -6)
2020 Transition • Number of students on the campus of the intermediate & secondary schools • Efficient & safe parent/guardian drop-off & pick-up at each school • Reduction of bussing pick-up & drop-off zones • Safety & security of students & staff • Traffic patterns
2020 Bell Times for the Schools • Sandusky Early Learning Center (PK-K) & Sandusky Primary School (1 & 2) • School Start Time: 7: 35 am • School End Time: 2: 10 pm • After School Programming • 2: 10 to 6: 00 pm at the Sandusky Primary School • Boys and Girls Club
2020 Bell Times for the Schools • Sandusky Middle & High School (7 -12) • School Start Time: 8: 00 am • School End Time: 2: 50 pm • Sandusky Intermediate & RCAAS (3 -6) • School Start Time: 8: 40 am • School End Time: 3: 20 pm
June 1 -4 Transition Days & PD • Pre. K-6 staff will start the transition from old school to new school • Students in Grades 7 -12 will be business as usual • Pre. K-6 students will have the opportunity to partake in activities with: • Sandusky City, Boys & Girls Club, and other organizations • Breakfast & Lunch provided
