Code Considerations • Cannot change Microsoft code ⁻ Anything editing base functionality will need to be re-factored • Now is the time to validate existing modifications / improve existing modifications ⁻ Don’t just copy paste and move forward, use the opportunity! • Tool vs Manual ⁻ Tools exist to move to AL from CAL, is it the right choice? ⁻ Custom fields need to be exported, AL version loaded, then imported to extension tables for the tool to utilize them (Config Packages) 16 © 2020 RSM US LLP.
