1. Purpose • To mediate the amendments of the trimmed and re-organised 2020 Annual

Purpose • To mediate the amendments of the trimmed and re-organised 2020 Annual Teaching Plan including School Based Assessment for Technical Sciences, Grade 12 for implementation in June 2020 as stipulated in Circular S 2 of 2020. • To ensure that meaningful teaching proceeds during the remaining teaching time as per the revised school calendar. • To assist teachers with guided pacing and sequencing of curriculum content and assessment.

Conclusion • Time allocated per topic is a guideline – teaching might be shorter/longer

Conclusion • Time allocated per topic is a guideline – teaching might be shorter/longer depending on the situation in each school. • Time allocated should be enough to complete the revised ATP, however schools are encouraged to use extra classes should they be too behind with their work and are not able to complete a topic within the stipulated time. • The ATP does not cater for revision. Learners should therefore be encouraged to do revision outside the normal school hours.
