Purpose (continued) To enable teachers to cover the essential core content /skills in each grade within the available time. To assist teachers with planning for the different forms of assessment. To ensure learners are adequately prepared for the subsequent year/s in terms of content, skills, knowledge, attitudes and values

1. Purpose • To mediate the amendments of the trimmed and re-organised 2020 Annual Teaching Plan including School Based Assessment for Information Technology, Grade 12 for implementation in June 2020 as stipulated in Circular S 2 of 2020. • To ensure that meaningful teaching proceeds during the remaining teaching time as per the revised school calendar. • To assist teachers with guided pacing and sequencing of curriculum content and assessment.

2. Amendments to the Annual Teaching Plan Summary

Reorganisation of Content Topics Theory Practical Content clustered for accelerated teaching and learner-directed learning. Supported with Power. Point Presentation, videos, Q&As, quizzes PAT integrated with Software Engineering

Content/Topics Amended Content/Topics Systems Technology: Software, and Computer Management + Social Implications Data and Information Management, Internet Technologies: Internet & WWW + Internet Service Technologies + Social Implications Software Engineering and PAT Term 2 Week 1 Term 2 Week 6 & 7 Amendment Related content clustered for accelerated teaching. Reduced the teaching time form 8 hours to 4 hours. Related content clustered for accelerated teaching and moved from Term 3 to Term 2 Reduced the teaching time from 8 hours to 4 hours PAT integrated with Software Engineering
