1. Purpose • To mediate the amendments of the trimmed and re-organised 2020 Annual Teaching Plan including School Based Assessment for Agricultural Technology, Grade 12 for implementation in June 2020 as stipulated in Circular S--. • To ensure that meaningful teaching proceeds during the remaining teaching time as per the revised school calendar. • To assist teachers with guided pacing and sequencing of curriculum content and assessment.
1. Purpose (continued) • To enable teachers to cover the essential core content /skills in each grade within the available time. • To assist teachers with planning for the different forms of assessment. • To ensure learners are adequately prepared for the subsequent year/s in terms of content, skills, knowledge, attitudes and values.

4. Amendments School Based Assessment (SBA)
Summary: Revised Programme of Assessment SBA Gr 10 -11 Term 2 PRACTICAL TASK (25%) (minimum 70 marks) REMOVE FORMAL TEST (100%) (minimum 100 EXAM (100%) marks) (minimum 200 marks) TEST (75%) (minimum 100 marks) Term 3 Term 4 FINAL EXAMINATION (200 marks 3 hours)
Summary: Revised Programme of Assessment SBA Gr 12 Term 1 PRACTICAL TASK (25%) (minimum 70 marks) TEST (75%) (minimum 100 marks) Term 2 NO EXAM ONLY TEST (100%) (minimum 200 marks) Term 3 Term 4 PRACTICAL TASK (25%) (minimum 70 marks) FINAL EXAMINATION (200 marks 3 hours) Trial Exam(75%) (minimum 200 marks)
Summary: Revised Programme of Assessment PAT Term 1 Term 2 Term 3 Term 4 DESIGN PORTFOLIO 25% (WEEK 1 -2) MANUFACTURING PROCESS (WEEK 1 -8) MANUFACTURING PROCESS (WEEK 1 -4) MANUFACTURING PROCESS (WEEK 1 -2) MANUFACTURING PROCESS 50% (WEEK 3 -10) FINAL PRODUCT 25% (WEEK 3 -4) * No learners will be penalised if the PAT model is not finished at the end of the year.
Summary: Revised Final Examination Structure • Changes to content in Grade 10 -11 • No changes to content Grade 12 • No formal Grade 10 and 11 SBA in Term 2 (Exam removed) • The Grade 12 June Examination are replaced with a formal test with the same questions, weighing and duration.
