2020 REVISED CURRICULUM AND ASSESSMENT PLANS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS TECHNOLOGY GRADE 11 Implementation: June 2020

1. Purpose • To mediate the amendments of the trimmed and re-organised 2020 Annual Teaching Plan including School Based Assessment for Computer Applications Technology, Grade 11 for implementation in June 2020 as stipulated in Circular S--. • To ensure that meaningful teaching proceeds during the remaining teaching time as per the revised school calendar. • To assist teachers with guided pacing and sequencing of curriculum content and assessment.

Purpose (continued) To enable teachers to cover the essential core content /skills in each grade within the available time. To assist teachers with planning for the different forms of assessment. To ensure learners are adequately prepared for the subsequent year/s in terms of content, skills, knowledge, attitudes and values

2. Amendments: Annual Teaching Plan (ATP)

Overview of Re-organisation Theory Practical PAT Content clustered for accelerated teaching and learnerdirected learning. Supported with Power. Point Presentation, Videos, Q&As, Quizzes Clustering Applications to assist in accelerated teaching. Multiple opportunities on integration techniques clustered together and reduced time allocation. Removal of Database in Phase 2. Removal of Website from Phase 3

4. Conclusion

Conclusion • With the accelerated teaching of Theory and the exclusion of the Database and HTML from the PAT, the Grade 11 ATP can be completed without significantly affecting the total amount of content for the year. • Clustered content will also contribute to focused teaching and learning.
