College Application Trends State of College Admissions Report (NACAC) ▶ The high school transcript is the most important variable in the admissions process ▶ Students’ grades and the academic rigor of their course loads weigh more heavily in decisions to admit than standardized test scores, high school class rank, or demonstrated interest in attending. ▶ The top factors in the admission decision were: • Student’s High School Record • Strength of curriculum – academic rigor • Standardized admission test scores • Extracurricular involvement
