2020 Again & Again “Do It Again”
“Do It Again” Revelation 19: 10 “… For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. ” Understanding the Power & Purpose of Testimony: Testimonies = Hebrew: edah = witness, testimony; ed = again “Do It Again”: They are the stories of the works of God that reveal His nature and His ways and create expectations for Him working again!
Testimony & Prophecy Telling what God has done releases the spirit of prophecy. Two forms of prophecy: 1. Foretelling a Future Reality (reveals God’s future plans & purposes) 2. Forthtelling a Truthful Reality (reveals God’s Higher Present Reality) • Shifts the atmosphere of faith expectancy • Reveals what God wants to “Do Again”
Reproducing Miracles Legal Precedent for miracles: 1. “God is no respecter of persons” Acts 10: 34 2. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. ” Heb 13: 8
Keeping the Testimony Deuteronomy 6: 17 “You are to diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God and the testimonies and statutes He has given you. ” Keep = watch, protect, preserve, guard, attend to 1. Commandments = laws, instructions; lifestyle of behaviors 2. Statutes = principles, ways of thinking 3. Testimonies = stories of God’s supernatural interventions that reveal His nature and His ways and creates expectations for Him to work “again and again”
Realm of Miracles… • “Our lifestyle, thought life and expectations have everything to do with developing a culture that contains the ability to sustain a great move of God. ” Bill Johnson • “God has not hidden the miracle realm from us. He has hidden it FOR us in the Testimony!” Bill Johnson
Testimony Empowers Obedience Psalm 78 Give ear, O my people, to my instruction; listen to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the beginning, 3 that we have heard and known and our fathers have relayed to us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, but will declare to the next generation the praises of the LORD and His might, and the wonders He has performed. 5 For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children, 6 that the coming generation would know them— even children yet to be born— to arise and tell their own children 7 that they should put their confidence in God, not forgetting His works, but keeping His commandments. 8 Then they will not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose heart was not loyal, whose spirit was not faithful to God.
Testimony Empowers Obedience Psalm 78 continued 9 The archers of Ephraim turned back on the day of battle. 10 They failed to keep God’s covenant and refused to live by His law. 11 They forgot what He had done, the wonders He had shown them.
Spiritual Decline… Psalm 78… 40 How often they disobeyed Him in the wilderness and grieved Him in the desert! 41 Again and again they tested God and provoked the Holy One of Israel. 42 They did not remember His power — the day He redeemed them from the adversary, 43 when He performed His signs in Egypt and His wonders in the fields of Zoan.

Each of you is to take a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of Israel, to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask, ‘What do these stones mean to you? ’ you are to tell them, ‘The waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, its waters were cut off. ’ Therefore these stones will be a memorial to the Israelites forever. ”…
