Agendas Use an agenda or planner to keep up with assignments! An agenda is designed to help you be successful in school. Successful students use agendas at school every day. . . but they also take them home. The agenda is a tool for success, when used properly. Agenda Objectives are: 1. To improve academic performance 2. To teach and reinforce goal setting 3. To teach and reinforce time management 4. To track homework 5. To improve school-home communication The expectations are: 1. Students will carry the agenda to each class. 2. Students will pay a $5. 00 fee to replace a lost agenda. 3. Students will use the agenda as a hall pass. 4. Teachers will spot check the use of agendas. 5. Teachers will, on a regular basis, note assignments and tests on the board in their classroom and give students time to enter the assignments in their agendas. 6. Parents will be asked to support the use of agendas.

Bullying State of Texas Definition of Bullying: Bullying is written, verbal, electronic, or physical

Bullying State of Texas Definition of Bullying: Bullying is written, verbal, electronic, or physical conduct at school (virtual or in person) that creates a harmful or persistently threatening environment and either interferes with the students or disrupts school education operations. FBISD Definition of Bullying: Bullying is defined as a single significant act or a pattern of acts by one or more students directed at another student that exploits an imbalance of power and involves engaging in written or verbal expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct that: 1) Has the effect or will have the effect of physically harming a student damaging a student’s property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of harm to the student’s person or of damage to the student’s property; 2) Is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive enough that the action or threat creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for a student. 3) Materially and substantially disrupts the educational process or the orderly operation of a classroom or school; OR 4) Infringes on the rights of the target at school.

Dress Code All students will dress for online learning in accordance current FBISD Student Code of Conduct policies. § § Hats and hoodies (with the hood on) may not be worn Clothing with profanity, obscenities, references to alcohol, drugs, weapons, or tobacco, or anything that may be construed as provocative or offensive may not be worn. Any attire, tattoo, icons, or markings on the body that is distracting or causes a disturbance, or identifies a student as a part of an unauthorized group, gang, or society is not permitted. Body piercings that are distractive or that pose a safety concern are not permitted.

Academic Dishonesty All secondary students in FBISD agrees to a pledge of integrity at the beginning of each year. The pledge shall serve as each students’ commitment of integrity in academic work. Academic Dishonesty includes, but is not limited to: § Cheating or copying the work of another student. § Plagiarism, § Unauthorized access to written or electronic information, and; § Unauthorized collaboration with another person in preparing an assignment or examination. If a teacher or supervising employee determines that a student has engaged in academic dishonesty, the student shall receive discipline and corresponding grade reduction as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.

Gradebook: Skyward vs Schoology § The official gradebook for a student is found in Skyward. § Schoology can be used to submit assignments, keep track of completed of assignments, monitor progress and feedback, but any grades reported in the Schoology gradebook are unofficial grades as not every assignment is graded through Schoology. § Refer to Skyward Family Access to see your official grades/averages.
