Seeds for the Future – Background • Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s global

Seeds for the Future – Background • Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s global CSR flagship program and the most heavily invested CSR activity. Huawei will continue to invest in the program over the long term. • Initiated by Huawei in 2008, the program seeks to develop local ICT talent, enhance knowledge transfer, promote a greater understanding of and interest in the telecommunications sector, and improve and encourage regional building and participation in the digital community. • • Up to the end of 2018, the program had been implemented in 96 countries and international organization worldwide, benefiting over 30, 000 students from 280 universities; among them, more than 2, 700 university students have taken a study trip to the Huawei headquarters. Launched in Belgium in 2014 in cooperation with Universiteit Gent, the Huawei Belgium Seeds for the Future program now covers Universiteit Gent, Universiteit Antwerpen, UCL, KUL, VUB, Université de Liège and Université du Luxembourg. Since 2014, more than 50 students have participated to the program 23 European countries 700+ Young Europeans participated
