➤ This is a rewards based program that our school purchased to encourage reading. ➤ Students take short quizzes after reading a book. ➤ Each quarter there is a special event for all 5 th grade readers who make the quarterly goal of 30 points with 80% accuracy. ➤ 4 th Quarter goal is 125 Points TOTAL for the whole year. 1 st Quarter Event – Popcorn and Movie 2 nd Quarter Event – Ice Cream and Extra Recess 3 rd Quarter Event – Karaoke Party 4 th Quarter Event – Game Truck and Laser Tag

STANDARDIZED TESTING 5 th Grade is assessed in ELA, Writing, Math, and Science. It is our goal to make sure your child is ready for these assessments and shows proficiency in all tested areas. These scores determine what classes your child will take in middle school and also prepare them for middle school EOC Exams.
