I. Overview e. Why implement e. Grants? § Commission commitment to implement electronic tools § Corporate tool with more than 50, 000 users already § Simplification and increase of cost-effectiveness § Qualitative benefits such as harmonisation, friendliness, transparency and reporting facilities. 4 user-
II. How to submit a proposal - For restricted calls, a URL will be distributed by e-mail to the National Statistics Offices - This URL will send you directly to the call submission - Following proposal creation, the whole process is facilitated through the Participant Portal, including Granting
Preparing for the submission of your proposal Online submission system as a two-step process: 1. Registration of the applicant organisation in the beneficiary register (if not already done) 2. Submission of the proposal itself
1. Check whether your organization is already registered in the beneficiary register Beneficiary Register Check Registered Organization Existing PIC in a "Validated" Status First Registration Compulsory legal and contact info (e. g. Legal Name, Country, VAT number, legal status, legal form) Optional info (n/a for Eurostat restricted calls) New 9 -digit Participant Identification Code (PIC) in a "Declared" Status
2. The project application • Part A, which includes the administrative information and the estimated budget table, • Part B, which comprises the technical content of the proposal; and • Mandatory annexes : • Detailed Budget, Unit costs declaration (copy), • If applicable Curricula of key actors
Some important messages for submission § Late proposals are automatically rejected by the system! § Make sure that: ü your draft proposal is submitted (acknowledgement of receipt after submission) ü the requested EU-contribution is correctly encoded ü the totals of the detailed budget reconcile with the summary budget § In order to benefit from the 30% flat rate for indirect costs, tick "Yes" to the Article 5 question 9

Once you submitted your proposal Once the proposal is submitted, the applicant will not hear from the Commission until the proposal is evaluated, unless: - The Commission needs to contact the applicant to clarify matters such as eligibility or to request additional information; - More information or supporting documents are needed to establish the legal entity; and/or - The applicant made a complaint regarding the submission procedure.

Notifications about next steps • E-mail notifications about all the actions that you are to carry out for grant preparation and signature. • All the notifications that you receive by e-mail are also available in My Notifications inbox on PP. • Notifications are addressed to the role that is to carry out the action. I have EU Login but no access to any proposals, projects or organisation data – what should I do? Ask persons having access to the respective data for granting you access: • Proposals – person who created the proposal on PP • Projects – any Participant Contact or Coordinator Contact [Pa. Co] or [Co. Co] • Organisation data – the LEAR of your organisation 19
