FINDING DATA IN IPP EXAMPLE: VALUE-BASED REVENUE DISTRIBUTION ACADEMIC UNIT INSTITUTIONAL PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

FINDING THE DATA: New Value-Based Academic Distribution Unit • Each school can earn one academic achievement unit per year. • Student-athletes meet at least one of the following: § Earn an overall, single-year, all-sport NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate of 985 or higher. § Earn an overall, all-sport Graduation Success Rate of 90 percent or higher. § Earn a Federal Graduation Rate at least 13 percentage points higher than the Federal Graduation Rate of the student-body. Health & Safety Survey Data April 2017 Division I Council Action • Requires the annual administration of a health and safety survey. • Administration of the survey to be overseen by CSMAS. § In collaboration with NCAA Sport Science Institute and NCAA Division I Strategic Vision and Planning Committee. • Immediate effective date. § Survey will be administered in fall 2017. § Data will be shared back with institutions via IPP in spring 2018.
