2016 Peace Poster Contest The Peace Poster Contest is part of the Annual Parade

2016 Peace Poster Contest The Peace Poster Contest is part of the Annual Parade & Festival for the United Nations International Day of Peace. Since 2008, students across Hawaii, grades K-12, have submitted their original art interpreting Peace themes, in competition for cash prizes. Winners are announced at the Peace Day Parade & Festival, most recently held on September 24, 2016, in Honoka’a, Hawaii. From the 114 Poster entries in the 2016 Contest, the following images show the Winners in each grade category (K-3; 4 -6; 7 -9; 10 -12). The Peace Parade & Festival for the United Nations International Day of Peace is produced by the Peace Committee, and affiliate of the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii, a 501 (c)(3) organization.
