Test Integrity • We assess in order to make inferences about student achievement (e. g. “Susan is proficient in math. ”) • In order to make valid inferences, • students must be prepared appropriately • assessments must be administered appropriately • assessment booklets and test items must be kept secure at all times • We all share the responsibility of maintaining integrity of assessment so that we can confidently report performance to students, parents, and the public

Testing Irregularities • Testing irregularities may compromise the reliability and validity of the test, and could affect a school’s AYP calculations • All testing irregularities, including test security breaches, must be reported to the Building Coordinator immediately • All testing irregularities must be submitted on a PAWS Irregularity Report Form in Appendix G (DFA page 80)
