2015 Georgia Milestones End of Grade Test Introduction
§ Replaces the CRCT § NEW—online testing for some (7 th grade and one 4 th grade class) § Read aloud accommodation—online § Paper/pencil for 3 rd, one 4 th grade, 5 th, 6 th, and 8 th § NEW—constructed response, extended constructed response, and extended writing response § Measures how well students learned grade level content § Consists of ELA (reading, writing, and English language arts), Math, Science, and Social Studies § Testing begins April 21 st and ends April 29 th § Scores back in the Fall of 2015
GEORGIA MILESTONES EOG OVERVIEW TEST CONSTRUCTION § § Structure and Order Paper/Pencil and online administration modes available for all content areas For paper/pencil administrations, there will be one test booklet and one 16 to 20 page answer document by grade containing all 4 EOG content areas ELA Section 3 will assess writing (in all grades) and must be scheduled for a day separate from and following ELA Sections 1 and 2 Administration Order: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies 3

§ Make sure your child eats a good protein filled breakfast each morning of testing § Be sure they get plenty of rest § Prep them for a different schedule for the testing days § Arrive 5 -10 minutes earlier to ensure a smooth morning (drop off begins at 7: 10 a. m. ) § Make sure your child has his/her medication, glasses, and anything else they need when they come to school § Reassure your child that they are ready for this!
