Canadian co-chair identified and on board. No tourism activities contained in the Action Plan. WG needs to assess Committee inactive - no place for role. Tourism will be addressed by SI&C. Several options have been related to mapping efforts. There was some consideration of combining this with CMSP. Former co-chairs were contacted. Not considered a viable option at this time. CMSP will take up any mapping questions if they arise for now. GOMMI will not be reactivated at this time. Need work plan for Activity 2. 1. 3; Need ESIP has indicated an interest in taking over a program coordinator; need funding Activity 2. 1. 3. Gulfwatch currently working for analysis of stored samples and on possible collaboration with NOAA 2010 report. Musselwatch. EC funds were made available for: (1) developing 2010 report, (2)developing a program plan (Phase 1).

Canadian co-chair has been identified. Cochairs have asked for 6+ months to reinvigorate committee and prepare a work plan to address goal 3 of the Action Plan. Eco. Gulf of Maine Times work plan is available. Role has been redefined since the committee has shifted to a cross-cutting committee and assist other committees in communication e. g. SOG Reporting, ESIP, Gulfwatch. GOMT being revised. State of the Gulf Reporting New Yes NA New committee to be recommended to Council by WG in December 2012. TORs have been drafted and approved by the WG in October. TORs will be presented to the Council in December 2012. US Co-chair indicated need to re-focus roles but needs assistance of CA Co-chair. Discussions for establishment of a new committee (including roles, tasks within AP, TORs, membership, etc) will be carried out in the near future with the goal of establishing this by June 2013.
