2009 -2010 MHS DRESS CODE

Dress Code The following is the dress code for students attending Mc. Kenzie High School. The principal reserves the right to require students to change ANY clothing that violates the intention of the dress code or is deemed a distraction to others whether or not it is specifically listed.

All shirts will have a t-shirt/crew neckline

Shirts will come to at least the top of the pocket and no lower than the bottom of the pocket

No holes or faux holes allowed

Skirts/shorts/dresses will be knee length or longer

NO SAGGING PANTS Pants will be worn at the natural waistline

Compression wear will NOT be worn as an outer garment

Students will not wear clothing that is backless, see through, or shows the midriff.

Hairstyles and hair color that is nontraditional and causes a distraction will not be allowed.

Other provisions No sleeveless No clothing advertising any of the following: Death/Suicide Drugs/Alcohol Violence Sex Satanic Worship/Occult No caps, bandanas, picks, combs, sunglasses, or hats Body piercing limited to ears

Consequences Students will be required to change and will not return to class until having done so. If more than 30 minutes of class is missed students will be charged with an absence, for less than 30 minutes missed students will be charged with a tardy.

Consequences 1 st offense: warning/writeup/parent letter sent home 2 nd offense: 1 hour detention/parent meeting 3 rd offense: 2 - 1 hour detentions 4 th offense: 3 days ISS
