2007 ASME Human Powered Vehicle Challenge Overview: • West Coast Challenge • NASA-AMES Research Center • Mountain View, CA • April 13 -15 Competition: • Sprint Competition: flying start speed trial 400 m approach, 100 m time trial • Endurance Competition: 65 km, each rider at least 5 km • Design Competition: design report, oral presentation (testing, analysis, safety, etc…)
Mission Statement 1. Design and fabricate HPV which will be highly competitive in sprint, endurance and design competitions at 2007 ASME HPV Challenge 2. Use 2006 PSU-HPV as benchmark to improve upon for 2007 competition 3. Create a solid baseline for future teams by involving non-capstone students and documenting research and design work
