What is an Angle? v An angle is the figure formed by two rays

What is an Angle? v An angle is the figure formed by two rays sharing a common endpoint. The common endpoint is called as Vertex. v The word angle comes from the Latin word angulus, meaning "a corner". v

Elements of an Angle Above figure shows an angle. v Rays BA and BC

Name of an Angle can be written by using three capital letters, as angle

Name of an Angle can be written by using three capital letters, as angle ABC or CBA. v The letter naming the vertex of an angle is always written in the middle. It can be read as ‘angle ABC’ or ‘angle CBA’. v Name of an angle also can be written by using a single letter, as angle B. v The sign to denote an angle is ‘<’. v
