Nature of work • They assist veterinarians in providing care for all of the animals. • They perform procedures. • They have to be familiar with laboratory equipment. • They have to record an animals history. • They work in private practice.
Education and training • • They have to complete a two year program. They have to have clinical and laboratory experience. Once you earn your degree, you have to have a credentialing exam. They must obtain certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. • once they pass they must become registered, licensed, or certified, depending on the state regulations.
Other qualifications • study all about medicines • study different parts of different animals • you need to know exactly what to do in case its a matter of life or death. • look for a wide range of work experience.
