Middle War • Henry V comes to power • Lands a crushing victory in France • Begins conquering • Treaty names him regent/Heir of France • Does of dysentery before taking control
Height of English Dominance
French Come Back • A 16 year old peasant girl, hearing voices, goes to the French King • Convinces him to give he an army, claims God is talking to her • Defeats the English multiple times, Charles VII crowned king • Joan was captured, and burned as a witch • French modernize their army and defeat the English
Consequences • Death Toll was huge in contrast to medieval wars • Economies damaged • Power of Parliamentary Democracy Grew • France is unified. • Both states formed united, national identities.
