School of Physics and Nuclear Energy Engineering Our motivation Understanding the interactions between composite nuclei (AA interactions), starting from NN interaction: Ø One of the fundamental subject in nuclear physics Ø One of the key issue to understand various nuclear reactions: * optical potentials: elastic scattering * distorting potentials as a doorway to various reactions (inelastic, transfer, breakup, etc. ) Ø Important to survey unknown nuclear structures/reactions of unstable nuclei far from the stability lines.

School of Physics and Nuclear Energy Engineering Summary Ø Study an effect of tensor

School of Physics and Nuclear Energy Engineering Summary Ø Study an effect of tensor forces and three-body interactions in heavyion reactions by 12 C + 12 C elastic scattering at beam energies from 100 A to 400 A Me. V. Ø The experiment of 100 A Me. V 12 C+12 C elastic scattering has been done at RCNP. Elastic and inelastic parts can be clearly separated. The preliminary results have been obtained. Ø The experimental data will be continued to analyze and give the final results. 21
