Parents Do’s and Don’ts • Do – – – Encourage girls with positive reinforcement Play catch and practice as much as you can (Pitching) Cheer good plays on both teams during games 24 Hour Rule Speak to Coaches before or after practice/games Let us know of any injury – COMMUNICATE – CALLS/EMAIL/TEXT/TWEET/… • Don’t – – – Discuss Playing Time or Positions Go in dugout during games Don’t talk to the umpires Heckle the opposing team Coach girls during the game – Criticize coaches…. ha ha
Equipment • Cleats (no metal) & Flips • Bat (ASA approved only) • Black, Green or White Undershirt (optional long and short sleeve) • Fielding Face Mask (optional) • Hair ties or headband – Hair back • Sliding shorts (Optional)
Tournament Day: • Typically, We will know at least a week before the times we play on Saturday (Sunday depends on W-L on Saturday) • Be at field 60 minutes ready to warmup • Pregame routine will include warmup, stretch, fielding and hitting • Positions/batting order will be assigned before game • Pitchers will be notified in advance of game day • Bring water
Fundraising • i. Pad Raffle – 120 Tickets ($10/Ticket) – 10 Tickets/Player Raises $800 • Sponsorship – Patches or Banner – Levels of Sponsorship • CVGSL League – Donation ($500/Team). • Allocated to offset Tournament Costs (travel costs) – Refund of excess will be divided equally between the team.
