WAS THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION AN EXAMPLE OF “COMMUNITY? ” 6 The constitutional convention was somewhat an example of community because not everyone spoke their opinions, a lot of compromise happened, but not everyone agreed with the decisions made by the constitution. During the duration of the whole convention, only white upper class men were involved. Women, or African American men, who were slaves during this time, weren’t allowed to be involved. Not everyone agreed with the decisions that were being made. For example, when the delegates discussed about their decisions on keeping slavery or keeping it.
