6 Competency • Each participant must demonstrate donning and doffing and be deemed competent • Once training complete participant to have training uploaded by site Admin into Saba • Trainer will sign off competency and send to participant to attach to training in Saba

7 Next Steps • Each participant must work with the Residential Service Manager to have all staff (as listed in Aged Care Direction) attend the training and be deemed competent in Donning and Doffing • PPE for training purposes has already been delivered to site • Training attendance to be entered into Saba and competency to be signed off and uploaded against training • Aim to have training completed as soon as possible. Deadline 7 th December 2020. • Could be delivered in two parts – one for the COVID-19 Information with separate on one sessions for the donning and doffing competency if this is easier (next slide suggestion if completed in one session)

8 Time to practice – For example Good Afternoon Colleagues. The purpose of this training session is to train you in the accurate Donning and Doffing of personal protective equipment. I will begin by providing some information about COVID‐ 19 and then a refresh of information about both Standard and Transmission Based precautions. I will then demonstrate the correct procedure for donning and doffing PPE and you will have the opportunity to practice this skill and be assessed.
