How can we learn best? 1. What helps us to learn effectively? For example feeling comfortable, warm, safe etc. 2. What makes it difficult to learn? For example lots of noise, feeling cold, feeling hungry etc.
Starting a new mission • For the next four years you will be on an important learning journey and to be successful you will need to help and support each other. • It is the responsibility of the whole class community to create an environment where everyone will be successful and as satisfied as possible on their learning journey.
Your Task… 1. In pairs you need to make a list of everything the class needs to do to create a happy, safe and successful learning environment. For example: • We will listen to each other. • We will encourage each other. • We will be considerate and not hurt each other. 2. Pick your FIVE most important rules. 3. Create a poster with your top 5 rules for the class to create a successful learning environment (use page 2 in your workbooks). The title can be: ‘ 8? Class Charter’
