Problems / Bottlenecks of QEC Membership of various statutory bodies. In 8 th meeting of QECs held on 26 th/27 th June 2007 it was decided that: “HEC will request the universities to allow head of a QEC to participate in meetings of the university statutory bodies like Advance Studies & Research, Deans Committee, Board of Faculty & Academic Council as non voting member thereby enabling the Head to beware of the academic activities” Currently, QEC head is only occasionally invited to participate in meetings of Advanced Studies and Research. 78

Future Plans To complete the Self Assessment Process of already selected departments. To follow-up the submitted implementation plan. To start self assessment practices in remaining degree offering departments in 4 th Phase subject to approval of Vice Chancellor. 79
