Mission • IPNA Junior Classes – Provide an advanced teaching in pediatric nephrology as a joint action with Regional Societies. • IPNA Junior Working Group • encourages participation in activities of IPNA • pediatric nephrologists under 40 years of age – ACTIONS • supporting their transition into practice through access to educational resources • facilitating participation in policy development and other activities • promoting young leaders to take on responsibilities under mentorship of senior colleagues

• ASPN Objectives – Provide timely pediatric nephrology expertise to primary care providers in remote underserved communities around the world • Af. PNA – Encourage participation in the IPNA programs – Mentorship for pediatricians and young fellows towards training in paediatric nephrology • ALANEPE – Develop communication network / access/ advertisement (digital marketing) – Create local and regional junior nephrologists community, opened to all of relevant and interested healthcare professionals – Provide accessible and attractive continuous education resources: • courses (presence or/and distance), • education material (free of charge? and on-line): guidelines, reviews, calculators etc. ; • educational/communicational tools: forum, webinars, telemedicine etc.

Regional Strengths and Challenges (All Regional Societies Junior Representatives) • Challenges: – Access to timely convenient care: most pediatric nephrologists concentrated in urban academic centers in major cities – Care coordination and healthcare coverage: non-uniform health insurance plans add unnecessary hurdles to timely care delivery – Health literacy and culture competence: Care provided should take into account both factors • Strengths: – Robust clinical infrastructure and availability of cutting edge therapies – Well established collaborative societies/ listservs/ social media channels – Strong emphasis on academics, research and education
