REUSE OF SECONDARY TREATED SEWAGE Ø From Kodungaiyur STP, the secondary treated effluent is being supplied to the following Industries at the rate of Rs. 18. 40 per kilo litre M/s Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) : 18. 00 MLD M/s Madras Fertilizer Ltd (MFL) : 10. 50 MLD M/s Manali Petro Chemicals (MPL) : 1. 50 MLD Total : 30. 00 MLD Ø Revenue of about Rs. 16 crore is being generated per year through the sale of secondary treated effluent to the industries. Ø About 3. 00 lakh litres per day of secondary treated effluent is supplied to the Chennai Municipal Corporation for watering of plants and lawns at public parks and traffic islands, at free of cost. Ø The 0. 5 MLD of secondary treated effluent supplied from Koyambedu STP to M/s. CMRL at the rate of Rs. 18. 40/KL 7

REUSE OF SECONDARY TREATED SEWAGE Ø The treated effluent for gardening purpose is being supplied from CMWSSB’s Perungudi Sewage Treatment Plant to TNRDC and PWD. Ø An amount of Rs. 100/- for 12 KL and Rs. 200/- for 24 KL is being collected by CMWSSB towards supply of treated effluent. Ø TNRDC is using the treated effluent for gardening the plant in the center meridian along OMR road, whereas PWD is utilizing the treated effluent for gardening purpose in Gandhi Mandapam. Ø At Perungudi approximately 8 trips of 24 KL treated effluent are supplied per day.

FUNDING PATTERN Ø The Government of Tamil Nadu has accorded Administrative Sanction at a cost of Rs. 394. 00 crores as per G. O. (Ms) No. 147, dt. 01. 12. 2014 for this project under AMRUT/TNIPP-I Funds which is as follows. Ø Ø Ø AMRUT (GOI) @ 33% - Rs 130. 02 cr GOTN @ 20% - Rs 78. 80 cr TNIPP -I - Rs 231. 50 cr An amount of Rs. 231. 50 crores have been sanctioned for transmission line under TNIPP-I Fund.
