This doesn’t work. Some words are not important and it takes much too long to read the text B. This is a very good idea. When you work out the meaning from the context you usually remember the new word better/ C. This is not such a good idea. You might not understand anything at all D. This can be very useful? But I only do it when I have already tried to work out what the word means from the context

Decide what they mean by looking at the words and sentences before and after them. Underline the words that help you decide. • A bright red gimble came round the corner very fast and almost knocked me down.
