【 동명사, 부정사 목적어 】 1. 동명사만 목적어 취하는 동사 ( enjoy, stop, finish, give up, mind, go on, put off quit, practice, avoid, consider, admit: 시인하다, . . ) ex) They enjoyed walking. Would you mind opening the door? ☞ ( stop + ~ ing, to 부정사 ) • He stopped smoking. (~을 그만두다): (3형식) • He stopped to smoke. (~하기 위하여): (1형식) (= He stopped working in order to smoke. )

He is sure to pass the exam. (반드시 ~ 하다) = It is certain that he will pass the exam.
