1 Corinthians 13 & Mark 12

1 Corinthians 12: 31 But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.

1 Corinthians 13: 1 -8 a

1 Corinthians 13: 1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 1

1 Corinthians 13: 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 2

1 Corinthians 13: 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. 3

1 Corinthians 13: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 4

1 Corinthians 13: 5 -6 It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record 6 of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 5

1 Corinthians 13: 7 -8 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. . 7

Love isn’t a fuzzy feeling, but rather a focused action!

Mark 12: 28 -31

Mark 12: 28 28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important? ”

Mark 12: 29 29 “The most important one, ” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Mark 12: 30 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. ’

Mark 12: 31 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. ’ There is no commandment greater than these. ”
